EMULSION COATING COMPOSITIONS AND A METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME

A water-dispersible coating composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent colorant migration and stains in a coating process with harmless and environment-friendly properties and to secure good dispersibility even in the presence of inorganic materials. A water-dispersible coating composition is composed of 5-95wt% of water-dispersible polyurethane and 95-5wt% of water-dispersible polycarbonate. The water-dispersible polyurethane has a solid content of 20-40% and shows weak anionic characteristics. The water-dispersible polycarbonate has a solid content of 20-40% and pH of 8-9. A method for manufacturing the water-dispersible coating composition comprises the following steps of: mixing the water-dispersible polyurethane and water-dispersible polycarbonate to prepare a binder resin(S110); adding an inorganic material or thickener to the binder resin(S130); and uniformly dispersing the additives in the binder resin and stabilizing the coating solution(S150).
