A compressor is provided to enhance the suction force through the suction port and to reduce the noise and vibration during operation. A compressor(100) comprises a piston, a cylinder, a valve apparatus, and a head. The piston has a linear reciprocating motion by a drive motor within the cylinder. The valve apparatus is formed on one end of the cylinder. The head is installed on one end of the valve apparatus. The head consists of a pipe which is positioned in the center and has a suction port, and a housing which is installed around the pipe and has an exhaust port. The valve apparatus opens the exhaust port and closes the suction port when air is discharged from the cylinder, and closes the exhaust port and opens the suction port when air is inhaled.
