<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter by which display defects, such as, an alignment defect and a flicker are hardly generated and which has high contrast of a white display part and a black display part, when it is used for a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is provided with a transparent substrate, a colored layer formed on the transparent substrate; a transparent electrode layer formed on the colored layer and protrusions for liquid crystal alignment layer control formed in a region, corresponding to the colored layer on the transparent electrode layer; the protrusions for liquid crystal alignment layer control contains at least one organic pigment selected from among a group consisting of a red organic pigment, a blue organic pigment and a purple organic pigment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
