PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for power supply wherein a small secondary battery can be used, even when driving over a long time, and to provide a movable body. SOLUTION: The power supply device supplies a load with power and includes: a battery 141 for supplying current to a load; a capacitor capable of storing power by current from the battery 141; and PCU 146 that controls the current outputted from the battery 141. The PCU 146 operates as follows: at the time of high load, when the current passed through a load is large, it supplies current to the load from the capacitor 145 and the battery 141; and at low load, when the current passed through a load is small, it supplies current to the load and the capacitor 145 from the battery 141.
