PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentifrice composition that has excellent retention of fluoride in the oral cavity, especially on tooth surfaces, excellent shaping on a toothbrush and improved storage stability of preparation with time regardless of preservation temperature and sufficiently foams and contains a fluoride. SOLUTION: The dentifrice composition is prepared by mixing a sodium fluoride-containing dentifrice composition with (A) 0.4-3 mass% of fatty acid amide propyl betaine, (B) 0.4-1.6 mass% of carrageenan and (C) 0.4-2.2 mass% of at least one kind of a cellulose derivative selected from hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose and methyl cellulose in the mass ratio of the component (B)/the component (C) of 0.7-3.5.
