PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stapler which facilitates removal of a staple therefrom when clogged with the staple in the process of being driven to an object. SOLUTION: The stapler is formed of: a device body; a staple holder 62 arranged in the device body, for storing the staples 101 therein; a delivering member 70 for delivering the staples from the staple holder 62; a driver 5 for driving the staple delivered from the staple holder 62 by the delivering member 70 to a member to be bound; and a guide gap secured between a distal end wall 60 on a side where the staple of the staple holder 62 is delivered and a receiving plate 67 arranged so as to be opposed to the distal end wall 60 across an interval, for guiding the staple driven by the driver 5. The receiving plate 67 is arranged in the device body, and the staple holder 62 is detachably attached to the device body.
