<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beak-shaped treatment instrument for an endoscope without a risk of contact of distal ends of a pair of operation wires which are inserted into wire connection holes of a pair of driving arms to be engaged with each other, and without a risk of malfunction or electric short-circuiting, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The beak-shaped treatment instrument has a structure in which distal ends 2a of the pair of operation wires inserted/disposed inside a sheath are individually inserted into wire connection holes 8 respectively formed in the pair of the driving arms 7 and engaged with each other. The pair of the driving arms 7 are rotated around their respective spindles 5 by operating the operation wires forward/backward in the axial direction, and a pair of distal end opening/closing pieces are opened/closed like beaks. The pair of the driving arms 7 are disposed to be located in positions separate from each other in the left/right direction when the pair of the distal end opening/closing pieces are opened/closed in the vertical direction as seen from the front.
