<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer booting system and a computer booting method, capable of further easily booting a computer in a remote place. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a plurality of managed PCs 113 having the function of performing power input by receiving a magic packet containing a MAC address and a web server 103 connected thereto through the Internet. The web server 103 includes a management PCDB 109 storing MAC addresses corresponding to PC identification keys of the managed PCs 113, and a user management DB 108 storing PC identification keys of the managed PCs 113, and the web server 103 executes steps of selecting the MAC address of an optional managed PC 113, confirming the operating state of the selected managed PC 113 by emitting ping to an IP address of the selected managed PC; and transmitting as the third step, when the managed PC 113 the operation state of which is acquired is in a stopping state, the magic packet containing the MAC address to the managed PC 113 in the stopping state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
