<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of performing authentication printing with authentication by an authentication device such as an IC card and with authentication by a personal identification number in regard to the printer performing authentication printing using a mobile recording medium and the personal identification number. <P>SOLUTION: The printer provided with an authentication information reader such as an IC card reader, and an input means such as a keyboard for inputting the personal identification number, selects one of authentication information read from the authentication information reader, and the personal identification number input from the input means when performing print processing of print data including the authentication information or personal identification number, and authenticates the print data based on the selected result to perform print processing of the print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
