<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine exhaust emission control device for preventing the breakage of fins by reducing stress on the fins of an agitating means when guiding exhaust gas, while avoiding the occurrence of resonance when the pulsation frequency of exhaust gas corresponds to the natural frequency of each of the fins. <P>SOLUTION: On a base plate 22 arranged in an exhaust passage for an engine, the eight fins 23 bent to the downstream side by press molding are lined in the peripheral direction. In a state that exhaust gas is distributed through a distribution hole 26 formed at the base plate 22 by the bent fins 23, the distributing direction is changed by the fins 23 to create a swirl flow. During press molding, each fin 23 is plastically deformed near its base end on the outermost periphery side in the drawing direction without being parted to form a connection portion 27, and the fin 23 is connected at its outer periphery to the base plate 22 by the connection portion 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
