PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution service having instantaneousness, which starts an application program by a user terminal. SOLUTION: The content providing system includes: a content acquisition part for acquiring content; a push information generation part for generating information including content obtained by the content acquisition part, that is, push information as information to start a push application program installed in a user terminal; and a push information transmission part for transmitting push information generated by the push information generation part to the user terminal in order to start a push application program by a user terminal.
