PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development, capable of suppressing deposition on a sleeve or generation of development ghosts, without damaging the photoreceptor, or the like, preventing image degradation, and stably forming a proper toner thin layer. SOLUTION: The toner is for electrostatic latent image development contains acicular titanium oxide, externally added to toner base particles, and the acicular titanium oxide has an aspect ratio (average major diameter/average minor diameter) in the range of 1.25 to 2.50, and an average major diameter and an average minor diameter in the range of 20 nm to 300 nm.
