PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distillation method and a distillation apparatus superior in processing efficiency for distilling selenium. SOLUTION: The distillation method and distillation apparatus for selenium are for distilling selenium by repeating a distillation process of selenium and a process for supplying a raw material selenium-containing powder into a molten metal formed by melting a selenium-containing raw material and melting it; and to be concrete, the distillation method and the distillation apparatus are for distilling selenium by semicontinuously distilling selenium by repeating a process for maintaining the selenium-containing raw material in a molten metal state by holding the inside of a distillation container at a temperature of 500-600°C and supplying the selenium-containing powder being a raw material into the molten metal of this senium-containing raw material and melting it, and a process for distilling selenium by heating the molten metal of selenium at a temperature of its boiling point or higher.
