PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an image processing means in which any failure has been caused from among a plurality of image processing means which perform image processing. SOLUTION: A control part compares image data D1, D2 and D3 as the results of successive image processing performed to reading image data D by each image processing part with image data Dr1, Dr2 and Dr3 as the results of the successive execution of emulation processing based on each image processing performed to the reading image data D according to this sequence to determines whether or not there is any non-coincident part. Then, when there is any non-coincident section between the compared image data, the control part determines that the failure is caused in the image processing part which has executed the image processing whose image processing sequence is the first. For example, when there is any non-coincident section between the image of the image data D2 and the image of the image data Dr2, and between the image of the image data D3 and the image of the image data Dr3, the failure is caused in the image processing part which has produced the image data D2 as the result of image processing.
