PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming material container which can restrict erasure of information unnecessary for an image forming apparatus to rewrite and is superior in reusability, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the image forming material container, and an image forming method using the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 10 which is freely attachable and detachable to a body of the inkjet apparatus 1 and in which an ink is held has nonvolatile memories 10d and 10e which enable writing and erasure of stored information and are different in methods to erase the information.
