PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate a telephone set using the telephone set having a normal communication function without requiring a special operation by a caller. SOLUTION: A location information generation part 41 generates the location information of a speaker 45, a location code determination part 42 refers to a location code dictionary and determines a location code corresponding to the location information, an audible sound generation part 43 generates audible sound corresponding to the location code, and a speaker 45 outputs the audible sound. The telephone set 3 receives sound information including the audible sound as background sound and transmits it to a locating device 2. Telephone equipment 51 provided in an emergency contact or the like receives the sound information from the telephone set 3, an audible sound detection part 52 detects the audible sound output from the speaker 45 from the sound information, a code conversion part 53 converts the detected audible sound to the location code, and a location information determination part 54 refers to the location code dictionary and determines the location information corresponding to the location code.
