PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machinery control system which enables the sure performance of control setting corresponding to the type of machinery equipped with it, while providing commonality of a control unit for the plurality of types of machinery. SOLUTION: This construction machinery control system comprises a monitor controller 6 which is mounted in the construction machinery so as to control the display of a monitor 5, and a machinery-type information storage section 8 of a vehicle-body controller 3 which is mounted in the construction machinery so as to store machinery-type information peculiar to the construction machinery. The monitor controller 6 is provided with a primary data storage section 11 for storing maintenance items in a plurality of patterns corresponding to the different types of the construction machinery, and a control section 10 which automatically inputs the machinery-type information stored in the machinery-type information storage section 8 of the vehicle-body controller 3, which sets the maintenance item, corresponding to the machinery-type information, by reading it from the primary data storage section 11 and which controls the display of the monitor 5 on the basis of the set maintenance item.
