PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit, which is fit for being controlled with a single motor driver, while being equipped with a plurality of motors, and to provide a manufacturing method for the drive unit. SOLUTION: The drive unit 100 is equipped with a gear unit 1 and the plurality of motors 57. The gear unit 1 is equipped with driven members 20 and a plurality of input shafts 49 which engage with the driven members 20. The rotating shafts 54b of individual motors 57 are coupled severally with input shafts 49, and is also provided with an adjusting means 72, which can adjust the phase angles of the rotor 56 and stator 58 of each motor 57 individually. By manufacturing the drive unit 100 through a first process, in which the gear unit 1 is prepared; a second process, in which the phase angles of the rotor 56 and the motor 58 are tuned by applying a current of the same phase to each motor 57; and a third process, in which the motor 57 is fixed to the gear unit 1, the drive unit 100, where the phase angles of the rotor 56 and the stator 58 are tuned in all motors 57, can be obtained.
