<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the illumination efficiency of a spot light which concentrates light from a plurality of light emitters to an opening of a mask and illuminates light by zoom lenses. <P>SOLUTION: The spot light 10 is equipped with a light source 2, a mask portion 3 containing an opening 31 to pass light from the light source 2, and zoom lenses 4 disposed in front of the mask portion 3. The light source 2 is equipped with a plurality of light emitters 21 each of which contains an LED 22 and an optical member 23 to give a directivity along the light axis to light from the LED 22. Each light emitters 21 is arranged so that its light axis 24 running through the opening 31 of the mask portion 3 is perpendicular to the opening face of the mask portion 3 and the plane of the light source substrate 11 opposite to the opening face of the mask portion 3. With this, each light emitter 21 has a directivity along the light axis and the light axes of the light emitters 21 become approximately parallel with each other. Therefore, only few light components among light rays passing through the opening 31 go off the light axis 24 and there is a little loss of light which goes from the opening 31 to the zoom lenses 4.
