LIGHT SPLITTER PRISM

A light splitter prism has prism components (2, 3) having a triangular prism-like basic shape and having the same or generally the same refraction index. The prism components (2, 3) are fixed together by bonding one or more surfaces of each component to each other by using a bonding agent, and as a result, the prism components (2, 3) are formed in a quadratic prism-like shape in which the four outer surfaces (2a, 2b, 3c, 3d) are connected with each other through the corners. The prism is adapted such that light passes through or is reflected on the bonded surface (4) of the prism components depending on the wavelength components. Cutouts (4x) extending to the bonded surface (4) are formed at those portions of the prism components (2, 3) where the bonded surface (4) reaches the outer surfaces or the corners. The bonding agent (S) projecting from the bonded surface (4) is solidified and adhering to the cutouts (4x) in a deposited manner.
