SYSTEM FOR SHARING CONTENTS IN PEER-TO-PEER OVERLAY ENVIRONMENT AND METHOD THEREOF

A system and a method for sharing contents in a P2P(Peer-to-Peer) overlay network environment are provided to distribute load of a central management server and decrease traffic overhead owing to P2P connection between users by uploading personal video contents to a local media server formed through the P2P overlay network. A central management server(100) manages a broadcasting service. A local media server(200) manages and distributes contents concentrated on the central management server. A client(300) directly uploads personal moving picture contents to the local media server, or directly downloads the personal moving picture contents from the local media server.
