A monitoring system for an exit door of a train and a method thereof are provided to secure driving view of a driver blocked by screen door system installation. A monitoring system for an exit door of a train comprises a plurality of terminal systems(100) which are installed on the top of the train exit door and photographs and transmits the image about the open-and-close state of the exit door, and a monitoring system(200) which is installed in the engineer's cabin and receives the image about the open-and-close state of the exit door transmitted from a plurality of terminal systems and indicates the door normal condition and the stuck obstacle.
