A plasma display apparatus is provided to improve image quality while preventing over-discharge in supplying a sustain signal by raising a voltage to the sustain voltage gradually. A sustain signal supplied to the scan electrode(Y) is gradually rises among the sustain address of the first sub-field from the first voltage(V1) to the second voltage(V2). A second section(s2) maintains the third voltage(V3) higher than the second voltage, and the third section(s3) descends from the third voltage to the fourth voltage. A signal which is descended from the fifth voltage to the sixth voltage gradually is supplied to the sustain electrode. |
