An apparatus for storing messages and a method thereof are provided to store a message received through an interworking interface without using the structure mode. A message receiving unit(110) receives a message including a plurality of items corresponding to one or more fields. A message storing unit(120) stores the received message. A message setting unit(130) compares a pre-stored message with the stored message. If a changed matter exists in the comparison result, the message setting unit provides a user interface for setting up the changed matter. The user interface comprises a region for displaying each item included in the received message and a region for setting up the changed matter.
