<p>A firmware upgrade system is provided to upgrade the firmware of a digital device more safely by storing upgrade data in a home gateway. A plurality of upgrade servers(120-1~120-M) inlcude firmware upgrade data of a plurality of terminals(110-1~110-N). A sharing unit(130) stores profiles about the firmware upgrade of the terminals. The profile includes at least one among kinds of the terminals, a hardware version, a software version, the MAC address of a network device and URLs of the upgrade servers. The sharing unit receives/stores the upgrade data from the upgrade servers by using the profiles, and then transmits the stored upgrade data to the terminals based on a push or pull method.</p> |
