A cooling device of a refrigerator and a cooling method thereof are provided to reduce manufacturing cost and volume of the device by sharing a cooling plate and an evaporator or a condenser and an irradiating plate. A cooling device of a refrigerator includes an insulation wall(110). The cooling device includes a thermoelectric element(120), a cooling plate(180), a irradiating plate(150), a compressor(140), a condenser, a capillary tube(170), an evaporator, a temperature sensor(190), and a controller(200). The thermoelectric element is installed at the insulation wall. The cooling plate is combined on an inner side of the thermoelectric element. The cooling plate emits cool air to the refrigerator inside. The irradiating plate is combined on an outer side of the thermoelectric element. The compressor converts a refrigerant into the gas of high pressure and temperature. THE condenser is installed at an outer side of the insulation wall.
