<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable inductance coil, and a booster antenna and a reader/writer equipped with the same capable of suppressing leakage of data of a contactless communication medium, such as an IC card, and improving safety with a convenient method without labor. <P>SOLUTION: The variable inductance coil is provided with a pair of electrodes, a sealed part provided between the electrodes, a first medium stored inside the sealed part, and a second medium different from the first medium in dielectric constant, where inductance changes as a rotation position changes. The booster antenna and the reader/writer equipped with the variable inductance coil can change a resonance frequency in accordance with the rotation position, so that they can control data communication between a contactless communication medium and the reader/writer and suppress leakage of data when an owner of the contactless medium does not intend. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
