Class 94(i) A device for erecting a collapsed folding- box and recollapsing it in the opposite direction to break the creases, comprises a fixed suction member 3 and an arcuatelymovable suction member 6 carried by a pair of cranks 4, 5 actuated through gearing 9 by a crank 10 and rod 11. The collapsed box is fed through rollers 1, 2 until its broad sides b, d and c, e are engaged by the suction members. The member 6 is then moved to the position of Fig. 2 (not shown) to erect the box and recollapse it in the opposite direction as indicated by the dotted lines, thereby bringing its leading edge into engagement with delivery rollers 7, 8, the suction is cut-off and the recollapsed box is fed by the rollers 7, 8 to a packing machine. The rollers 2, 8 are of semi-circular shape to allow the necessary swinging movement of the narrow sides d, e and b, c. |
