METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING VIDEO DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a review environment where a huge amount of user interaction are not needed for video data streams normally containing segments where no activity of interest is present, in a security environment. SOLUTION: A method of displaying video data using a video recording system includes: recording a first stream of video data captured by a first camera and a first event associated with the first camera; and recording a second stream of video data captured by a second camera and a second event associated with the second camera. A playback speed is determined based at least on a difference between a current play time position and a time position of a nearest one of the first event and the second event, and transmitted to a client at a normal speed or a variable speed.
