<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively reduce carbon monoxide concentration in starting in a fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: In a fuel cell system, when a prescribed range out of the total catalyst regions of a carbon monoxide shift reaction part becomes a prescribed temperature in starting of the fuel cell system (step 106), a fuel gas is supplied to the fuel cell and power generation is started even if the catalyst regions other than the prescribed range do not reach a prescribed temperature (step 108; power generation starting means). During the time from a point when the fuel cell generates power with a minimum capacity to a point when it generates power with a maximum capacity, the fuel cell is operated to generate power, as an upper limit of power generation, by the power generation upper limit value established based on the temperature of a plurality of places located separated along the flow of the fuel gas from the entrance to the exit, out of the total catalyst regions of the carbon monoxide shift reaction part (steps 110-118). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
