<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a predetermined processing in a radio apparatus 10. <P>SOLUTION: An RSSI (field intensity) of a reception radio wave is detected (S36) and if the RSSI is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold (S37: Yes), a difference in symbol rate between a transmitter and the radio apparatus 10 as a receiver, namely, a difference in reference oscillation signal is detected (S38). If it can be determined from the detected difference that a receiving status of a reception signal is excellent for just recent N reception frames (S46: Yes), processing frequency of a clock reproducer 19 is decreased (S47).
