<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control apparatus of a power transmission apparatus for a vehicle equipped with an electric differential portion for suppressing the deterioration of NV characteristics (noise/vibration characteristics) which are caused when a shift position is changed from a parking position to a neutral position while executing control that starts or stops the main power source, control that changes the load of the main power source, and a decrease in starting performance/stopping performance. <P>SOLUTION: The control apparatus of a power transmission apparatus for the vehicle includes an output-shaft rotational speed control means 90 that controls the rotational speed of an output shaft (transmission member 18) of a differential portion 11 to a predetermined rotational speed until the start control and/or stop control of an engine 8 ends when the shift position is changed from a parking position to a neutral position during the control of the start and/or stop of the engine 8.
