PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch film packaging machine including film setting means that facilitates film setting and prevents film conveyance failure. SOLUTION: A film leading-end holding section that locks and holds the leading end of a film pulled out from a film roll is provided on the upstream of a film holding section provided on the starting end side of a pair of film conveying means, right and left, for conveying the film while holding both the widthwise side edges of the film. The film leading end holding section is movable between a first position where the film leading end holding section separates from the starting end of the film conveying means and a second position where the leading end of the film locked and held is inserted into the starting end of the film conveying means. One side of the film leading end holding section is high in adhesion to the film and the other side is low.
