The present invention relates to a device for amplifying the optical power of at least one first incident optical signal and at least one second incident optical signal, said device being intended to be connected to an optical fibre constituting a branch of an optical network. Such an amplifying device comprises: a multiplexing module comprising means for forming a composite optical signal from the first incident optical signal and from the second incident optical signal, a module for amplifying the optical power of said composite signal. The invention also relates to an optical network comprising a device in accordance with the invention in at least one of these branches.
