<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following defects: seal members made of urethane foam are widely used to take measures against noise and dust, the cut face of the foam becomes the thickness of the seal member, then, when mounting the seal member and putting the seal member into the equipment, the edge portion of the equipment comes in contact with the cut face of the seal member. <P>SOLUTION: The urethane foam member used for a seal structure is cut into a desired shape from sheet urethan foam, thereafter, an adhesive is applied on one face of the urethane foam member, and thermal compression is applied near at least one side edge portion of the other face of the urethane foam member, then, permanent thermal distortion is induced such that the thickness gradually increases with distance from the portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
