[PROBLEMS] To provide a radon emitting radiation source that ensures low cost while satisfying the requirements of high-efficiency emission, durability and stability for especially a radon emitting radiation source for radon mist. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The radon emitting radiation source is obtained by fixing radioactive radium onto a support of porous ceramic composed mainly of alumina. In particular, preferably, the surface of the support is etched with an acid prior to the fixing of the radioactive radium. The radon emitting radiation source is obtained by immersing a support in a solution of radioactive radium, drying the same and sintering the dried support.
