<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an actuating device is limited in the place of installation or in the direction of installation according to its appearance shape. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular seat has a gas generator 16 for moving a piston 12 in a cylinder 11, and a wire cable 13 with one end thereof being connected to the piston 12. The movement of the piston 12 by the pressure of high-pressure gas generated by the gas generator 16 is transmitted by the wire cable 13, and a seat 3 of the vehicular seat is moved backwardly.
