<p>It is possible to provide a high-quality liquid crystal display device having few display irregularities. The liquid crystal display device is a vertical orientation type having a plurality of pixels. The liquid crystal display device includes in each of the pixels: a first electrode having a plurality of first branches extending in a first direction and a plurality of second branches extending in a second direction different from the first direction; a second electrode arranged to oppose to the first electrode; and a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. Each of the first branches and each of the second branches have a width in a range not smaller than 1.4 µm and not greater than 8.0 µm.</p>
