An asymmetric organomodified disiloxane surfactant having the formula: <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>MM'<?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> wherein M comprises branched hydrocarbon substituents and M' comprises a cationic, anionic or zwitterionic substituent and a polyether substituent that may be combined as one moiety, wherein the disiloxane surfactant has an enhanced resistance to hydrolysis between a pH of about 3 to about 12.
