POSITIVE CONTROL CELL PELLETS FOR IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

Described herein are control cell pellets for use in immunohistochemistry assays. This disclosure provides universal positive control cell pellets that can be used as positive staining controls for any immunohistochemistry assay, regardless of the antigen of interest. In one example, the universal positive control cells are cells expressing mouse immunoglobulin. Further provided are antigen-retrieval positive control cell pellets and endogenous peroxidase control cell pellets. As described herein, one or more of the control cell pellets can be prepared and placed on the same slide as the test sample to allow for simultaneous processing under identical conditions. In one example, the control cell pellets are immobilized on a detachable surface that allows the cell pellet to be removed and subsequently adhered to a second surface.
