<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the number of manager servers for print sequence control is conventionally one, but load distribution of this server is not taken into consideration, which causes a risk of great load of this server in printing a large quantity of jobs on thousands of distant printers, and in performing job control to jobs under print processing in such a system configuration, a print server to which job control instructions are to be given cannot be specified. <P>SOLUTION: This distribution printing system, when carrying out job control such as a printing place change, a printing stop or a priority change to the print server, registers the print server which is printing, in a common resource such as a database, and sends a request to this print server. In a printer system which controls the large quantity of jobs, job control instructions can thereby be surely given to the printer server which is printing even if operating a plurality of printer servers in cluster environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
