PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard navigation device capable of setting a guide route adaptive to driving skill of a driver. SOLUTION: The onboard navigation device has a display means, an information input means to input information indicated or set by a user, and a control means. When a highway is included in a guide route from a present place of own vehicle to a destination set through an information input means, the control means calculates a merging difficulty level showing the difficulty level of merging into a main line relative to a plurality of inlet interchanges in a prescribed range of the highway (S15), and displays on a list, the inlet interchanges together with the merging difficulty level on a screen of the display means (S16). The control means calculates evaluation values relative to a runway distance in the inlet interchange, a radius of curvature of the runway, the height of a shield, and a congestion state at a merging spot, and calculates the merging difficulty level based on the evaluation values.
