The device has left pair of rails (20) and a right pair of rails (22) provided with seat rails and base rails (28) and attached to an adjustable mechanism (32) to enable an adjustment movement of the seat rails relative to the base rails. An electric motor (24) has an output shaft (36) connected with the adjustable mechanism. An engine holder plate (42) is connected with the seat rails and forms a guide for the shaft, where the shaft runs parallel to a longitudinal direction of the plate made of plastic or metal. The shaft is connected with the adjustable mechanism on sides of the motor.
