A surface light source lighting apparatus is provided to control the color of illumination by distributing transmissive light diffusion particle on a binder resin and controlling a color temperature. A surface light source lighting device(100) is comprised of a light source(110) and a light guide plate(120). The light source is arranged on the circumference of the light guide plate, and the light guide plate delivers a light irradiated from the light source. A light inlet unit(121) is formed at a surface where a light is emitted, and the light which is projected to the side of the light guide plate goes right along inside the light guide plate. A light which is projected to a second surface of the light guide plate is reflected totally or is permitted.
