A wheeled waste container 10 comprises an open rectangular box-like carcass 11 having an upwardly facing mouth, wherein two opposite sides of the carcass 11 each include a 'U'-shaped handle 15. Each handle 15 is connected to the carcass at the upper ends of the side wall such that the handles 15 may nest to permit close stacking of the carcasses. Upon nesting of the carcasses 11, the handles 15a of the uppermost container pass over the mouth edge of the lowermost container and nest within the handles 15b of the lowermost container such that the mouth frames 20 are in close contact. The carcass 11 may further include a comb bar 16 at one side wherein each handle 15 is attached to the carcass 11 substantially at the level of the comb bar 16. The carcass 11 may also be adapted to incorporate a stay (figure 5, 18) between a lower portion of each handle 15 and an adjacent side wall of the carcass 11. |
