A channel establishing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to shorten the channel setting time. The first tuner(1) searches a sky wave broadcasting channel and establishes a channel. The second channel(2) searches the cable broadcasting and establishes a channel. A microcomputer(3) controls the first tuner and the second tuner, and stores the frequencies of channels searched by the first and second tuners in a memory. A scaler(5) displays the scanning processes of the first and second tuners on a main screen and a sub screen. |
