A health management device in a portable information terminal is provided to check a health condition of a user by obtaining a bio-signal and environment information through a bio-signal sensor and an environmental sensor. A health management device in a portable information terminal includes a bio-signal sensor(102), an environmental sensor(104), a health condition managing unit(106), and a database(112). The bio-signal sensor senses the bio-signal of the user. The environmental sensor senses the environmental information of the portable information terminal. The health state managing unit detects the health condition information of the user based on the bio-signal sensed by the bio-signal sensor and the environment information sensed by the environmental sensor. The database stores the exercise information of the user and the reference exercise information.
