A tidal current generator using a water kite is provided to generate power by converting potential energy change of the water kite into spin energy through a revolving wheel. A tidal current generator using a water kite comprises: a floor side formed along waterway; water passage walls(A,B) being formed at the both sides of the waterway; and a water kite(H) installed between the both water passage walls. Ropes(I1,I2,J1,J2) are tied at four edges of the water kite. The rope passes through the rotary shaft(C1,C2,D1,D2) equipped at one side of the water passage wall and is connected to a revolving wheel(W1,W2,W3). When the location of the water kite is changed with the speed of water flow, the changed potential energy is delivered to the revolving wheel through the rope. The revolving wheel is equipped on the ground. |
