A light guide plate and a backlight unit are provided to minimize the thickness of LCD by reducing the optical distance required for the color mixing of the light. A plurality of light incoming regions(22) are formed in the bottom surface of substrate. A plurality of reflecting bodies(24) are formed in the bottom surface of substrate in order to be corresponded to a plurality of light incoming regions. A light outputting region(21) is provided to the upper side of substrate. A plurality of light incoming regions are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the substrate with the constant interval. The plurality of light incoming regions are vertical to the light outputting region. The reflecting body intersects with the vertical plane of light incoming regions and light outputting region.
