The method involves modifying amplitude of an alternative signal of voltage of a power grid (R) with an input circuit (11) based on light intensity to be provided by lamps (Li), where a loop of the lamps in series is connected to the input circuit, which consists of a buffer capacitor (C). The input circuit is connected to a reducer circuit (12) that is embedded in a heat conductive resin coating ensuring dissipation of heat generated by power components e.g. transistor, of the reducer circuit. An independent claim is also included for a circuit for controlling a low voltage lamp.
